Our services include but are not limited to:

  • Uploading and sharing academic notes and study materials
  • Browsing, searching, and downloading content shared by other users
  • Rating and reviewing notes
  • Organizing notes by course, university, and subject
  • Community interaction features
  • Administrative review and approval of uploaded content

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the service at any time without prior notice.

3. User Accounts and Registration

3.1 Account Creation

To use certain features of UniNotes, you must create an account. You may register using your email address or through Google OAuth authentication. When creating an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain and promptly update your account information
  • Keep your password secure and confidential
  • Be at least 13 years of age (or legal age in your jurisdiction)
  • Not create multiple accounts
  • Not share your account with others

3.2 Account Security

You are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account. You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account or any other security breach. We will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account credentials.

3.3 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for any reason, including but not limited to:

4. User Content and Intellectual Property

However, by uploading Content, you grant UniNotes a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, display, and perform your Content in connection with operating and promoting the platform.

4.2 Content Representations and Warranties

By uploading Content, you represent and warrant that:

  • You own or have the necessary rights to upload and share the Content
  • The Content does not infringe upon any third-party intellectual property rights
  • The Content does not violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • The Content was created by you or you have proper authorization to share it
  • The Content is accurate to the best of your knowledge
  • The Content does not contain malicious code, viruses, or harmful components

4.3 Copyright Infringement

  • Identification of the infringing material and its location

We will promptly investigate and remove infringing Content upon receiving proper notice.

4.4 Content Moderation

All uploaded Content is subject to review and approval by our administrators before being made publicly available. We reserve the right to reject, remove, or modify any Content that violates these Terms, our Community Guidelines, or is deemed inappropriate for any reason.

5. Prohibited Activities

When using UniNotes, you agree NOT to:

  • Sell or commercialize access to your account or Content

  • Share exam answers, solutions to graded assignments, or materials that facilitate academic dishonesty

Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate account suspension or termination and potential legal action.

6. Academic Integrity

UniNotes is designed to support collaborative learning and help students study more effectively. However, you are responsible for using the platform in accordance with your institution's academic integrity policies.

Content on UniNotes should be used as study aids and reference materials, not as substitutes for original work. Submitting downloaded Content as your own work may constitute plagiarism or academic dishonesty.

We encourage you to:

  • Use notes as study supplements, not replacements for attending class
  • Understand and follow your institution's honor code
  • Create your own original work for assignments
  • Cite sources appropriately when referencing materials
  • Report any content that facilitates academic dishonesty

7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

7.1 "As Is" Service

UniNotes is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

7.2 Content Accuracy

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or quality of any Content uploaded by users. Users are responsible for verifying information and using Content at their own risk. We are not liable for any errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in user-generated Content.

7.3 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, UniNotes and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:

  • Your use or inability to use the service
  • Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers
  • Any bugs, viruses, or harmful code transmitted through our service
  • Any errors or omissions in Content
  • Any conduct or content of any third party on the service

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless UniNotes and its officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors, and suppliers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to your violation of these Terms or your use of the service.

Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except that either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in court to prevent infringement of intellectual property rights.

You agree to waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

Your continued use of UniNotes after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the modified Terms. If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must stop using the service.
